Commonly known as Crimson Jobfish or Crimson Snapper, is a species of snapper native to the Indian Ocean and into the Pacific Ocean. It is a major fishery species that supports deep-water fisheries across the Indo-Pacific. This species is taken on bottom longlines and deep handlines and is considered a good quality food fish.
